All these misprints are fairly close to the intended image, but might have slightly more off-registration than desired, very minor ink transfer, or possibly even a RARE color that I decided I hated for no real reason and did not go with for the final edition. 🤷🏼 They're perfectly fine and there's a good chance no one else even knows there's anything wrong w them except me--a picky bi**ch.

What is Riso?
Riso is a process not dissimilar to screen printing, but automated within a large copier-like machine. Each color in the design must be separated or created in black and white, which then gets scanned into the Riso machine to create a "master" (more or less a "screen"), which ink is then pushed through onto the paper's surface. Multi-color prints are created by running the paper through the machine multiple times. This process uses soy-based ink, which is good for the environment and high-pigment, bright colors since the ink sits on the surface of the paper, rather than being fused into the paper like other print processes. However, this also makes Riso prints prone to smudging when agitated, so it's important to protect your print. While we do our best to make every print the same, some ink transfer or variations in registration (alignment of colors) are an integral part of the process. This adds to the unique character of Riso prints, which we hope you love as much as we do!
